Well, it’s official! I’ve joined the fun affectionately known as NaNoWriMo. No, it’s not Mork-speak. It stands for National Novel Writing Month. It’s where a bunch of really crazy people like me try to encourage each other to write a novel in a month. I’m told it’s not only possible, but a lot of fun. Since I wanted some company on this journey, I started an encouragement group in Monmouth, Oregon as an offshoot of the Salem group. Even if you live far away, I could use NaNoWriMo buddies. My screen name is MaryCrawfordAuthor.

Have you ever wondered whether you (yes, I mean YOU) could write a book? Well, what are you waiting for? Now is your chance to find out. November is National Novel Writing Month. I am hosting an encouragement group every Saturday in November at the Hamersly Library from Noon until 2:00 on the Western Oregon University Campus. Come join us! https://www.facebook.com/groups/salem.nanowrimo/ For more information see http://nanowrimo.org/
